Samia Liaquat Ali Khan’s Expertise Over the past two decades, I have honed my skills as a strategic leader, innovator and socio-economic change expert through designing and implementing human impact programmes on a global scale. This includes my most recent experience as Programme Director of the US 150 million National Poverty Graduation Programme, an initiative supported by Government of Pakistan and the International Fund for Agriculture Development, but also extends to nearly ten years of working as programmes lead with International NGOs based out of the United Kingdom. As the grand daughter to Pakistan’s first women’s rights activist and founder of the All Pakistan Women’s Association (APWA), I have understood and empathised with the challenges and barriers facing the poorest and most marginalised from a very young age. To that end, I have built a career in helping others through designing programmes for the poorest that focus on achieving outcomes that can have a lasting and profound impact on their lives. I have cultivated a track record of success in developing and managing strategic financial / donor partnerships, and developing high performing teams using an approach which is centred on the values of integrity, equity, accountability and collaboration. With invaluable experience in pro-poor policy and programmes, fundraising, strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, communications and leadership, I have demonstrated my ability to lead organisations and teams to create transformational change. My Expertise: Global Leadership Strategic Planning and Partnerships Innovation Programme Design Project Implementation Organizational Change Management Business Development Fundraising Research Impact and Outcome Measurement Additionally, I have been published twice during my career in alignment with my advocacy work. Publications: ‘Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers: failing minorities and indigenous peoples’, MRG London, June 2010 ‘EU Financial Assistance in the Western Balkans: a minority perspective’ , MRG, London, September 2010 Want to learn more about me and my career?
